Greece

Greece's Golden Visa was launched in 2013. It offers a 5 year residency visa through real estate investment. There is no minimum stay requirement and applicants can have their dependants included in their application.

The minimum investment is €250,000 exclusive of taxes and legal/professional fees.

Investors have the option to apply for a  Greek citizenship after 7 years of maintained residency.

Portugal

Portugal's Golden Visa was launched in 2012 and has since gained a title of becoming the most popular programme in Europe. It offers a two-year renewable residency visa, having the most preferred route to investment being real estate. Alternatively, there is the capital investment route or employment route. 

The minimum real estate investment amount is €280,000, the capital investment route is €200,000 and employment route is to curate at least 10 jobs.

Investors have the option to apply for a Portuguese citizenship after 6 years residency.

Spain

Spain's Golden Visa was introduced in 2013. The programme offers investors a one year residency visa and thereafter a two-year renewable residency visa. Once the visa has been held after 5 years, it is renewable thereafter every 5 years.

The investment route is real estate investment of a minimum amount of €500,000.

After 10 years of residency, the investors have the option to apply for Spanish citizenship.
